Client Case Study

Levy Africa Network was appointed by Telesure International Holdings (TIH) to implement gender-based violence and harassment training across their organisation and covering circa 4,500 employees. Working closely with TIH’s D&I, Wellness, HR and L&D teams, Levy Africa Network developed a series of bespoke programmes cascading the programme from the HR/ER team, to all managers and supervisors and then the entire employee complement.

Delivered both in person and online to employees around the country, the gender-based violence and harassment initiative has helped highlight the extent of gender-based violence and harassment in South Africa, sensitize staff to what is and is not acceptable behaviour, and the resources offered by the organisation.

Of greatest impact was Levy Africa Network’s I Dared upstander methodology, giving people the skills and confidence to stand up against inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour.

From a legal perspective, the HR team have been provided with the tools to manage allegations of harassment as they arise.
